Get to Know Her Campus
Let’s face it, Beyonce long ago told us who run the world.
Strong, empowered women, that’s who. Of course, Queen B is an authority on the matter. But if you want an equally reliable source, Her Campus knows a thing or two about college women at the top of their game.
Career-minded. Fashionable. Driven. Health conscious. The kind of women that are going to run the world someday. That is, if they aren’t already. And Her Campus is their #1 new-media brand.
But there’s a lot you probably don’t know about Her Campus. For starters, they are giving out a Her Campus Prize Pack to one Fenway Insider. Spoiler alert: it includes $300 worth of beauty products and Her Campus gear. Subscribe to The Fenway to be eligible.
And, for everything else, read on:
ONE. THEY’RE IN THE ‘HOOD.
Because they have good taste, obviously. Her Campus was founded in Boston back in 2009. Today, they’ve set up some pretty sweet headquarters in The Fenway. Good thing, too, since there are close to 80,000 college students here. We’d say it’s a natural fit.
TWO. THEY’RE ANIMAL PEOPLE.
Speaking of their headquarters, Her Campus is pet-friendly. Dogs are a wo(man)’s best friend. They have furry friends visiting on a regular basis. Including three, adorable dogs with equally adorable names. Yeti. Bagheera. And Buddy.
THREE. THEY’VE GONE GLOBAL.
That’s what happens when you’re run by powerful ladies. You start to take over the world. Her Campus has more than 320 chapters in the United States. But, they’re always thinking bigger. The company has another 40 outside of America, including chapters in Brazil and South Africa.
FOUR. THEY’VE LEARNED TO LET GO.
You can’t cater to empowered women without loosening the reigns inside your own company. But we don’t have to tell Her Campus that. Each chapter functions as its own publication. Teams of editors, social media managers and PR run the show. The voice and focus is up to them, and they always come through.
FIVE. THEY HAVE INFLUENCE.
A lot of influence. So much that they have their own influencer network. The InfluenceHer Collective is 2,700 members strong. It’s a community where women can collaborate and inspire. Because the only thing better than a few influential women, is a lot of influential women.
