Visit 401 Park This Summer: Boston’s Newest Playground
Summer is back.
When we were young, that meant ice cream trucks and time off of school. Now it’s all about a break from winter and weekends spent in the sun.
But this year in The Fenway, we have even more reason to celebrate. 401 Park is officially open. And Boston’s newest playground is turning summer on its head – for kids and adults alike.
401 Park
Over the last decade, The Fenway has become the vibrant neighborhood we all love today.
The renovation of 401 Park is the next chapter in our story. It’s home to Time Out Market Boston and a new community green space. Not to mention Trillium Fenway, coming later this year.
Needless to say, 401 Park is your new go-to destination 365 days of the year. And the wait is over. With carefully curated events on deck, the space will be bustling with activity starting in July.
Fitness at 401 Park
Under Armour and Social Boston Sports are here to make you want to be active. Both are coming to 401 Park to make sure you sweat – and have fun – this summer.
Cornhole, bocce, yoga, and HIIT bootcamp are all on the agenda. And the first events are just a few weeks away.
Kick things off on July 9th with the SBS Cornhole Tournament and Registration Party.
A couple days later, get back on the horse with yoga as part of the free Under Armour series – Fit in The Fenway.
Music at 401 Park
Berklee Summer in the City is expanding this year. And its newest locale is right around the corner – as long as you’re in The Fenway.
401 Park will host concerts every Tuesday and Thursday at noon. All summer long.
Stop by at lunch to see some of Boston’s most talented, young musicians. Genre will vary. But cost won’t. It’s always FREE.
Entertainment at 401 Park
We don’t care if you watch TV this summer. As long as you do it outside.
The whole family is invited to Saturday movie nights, when the green space will transform into an outdoor theater. The events will feature classic, kid-friendly films
Plus, the Red Sox Showcase is bringing away games back to The Fenway three times this summer, starting on July 20th. Catch the games – and baseballs – during this interactive game watch.
Fenway Fridays
After a successful inaugural season last year, The Fenway Fridays are back on July 19th. This time, with a twist.
401 Park will be the hub the second time around. On six Fridays over the course of the summer, themed parties will take place on the lawn. Which means you can kick off the weekends with everything from Oysters and Yacht Rock, to Tiki, Karaoke and Fashion.
But, don’t worry. We’re bringing back some Fenway Friday favorites, too. Specifically: free stuff.
So, keep an eye on your email. The summer is just getting started, and we have a lot more to say.
