Give Back in Boston
Everyone’s busy—we get it. But if you stop and take the time to give back, you’ll be surprised at what you find.
Incredible people. Fun places. A feeling of fulfillment. Luckily, Boston has some pretty exciting ways to get involved with an incredible institution. Enter: Boston Children’s Hospital.
Whether you’re a secret sous chef. An event connoisseur. A board game master. An avid baker. Whoever you are, Boston Children’s Hospital has a way for you to give back and have fun doing it.
Curious? We’ve featured six awesome ways to get involved. Want more? Got you covered.
Life-size Hungry Hippo. Giant Jenga. Bungee run. Come play like a kid to help kids! Join us for a night filled with larger-than-life games, childhood-menu favorites, and signature drinks. The best part? You’ll be helping patients are Boston Children’s Hospital get back to the business of being a kid.
Remember winter? Yeah – that was terrible. Take every opportunity you can to get outside and soak up the sun! Rally your troops and lace your sneakers for a day of friends and fun at our 2 or 6-mile walk around Boston’s Charles River. Walk. Fundraise. Give.
Scare cancer. Wear bike shorts. Join our Hope Riders on a family-friendly bike ride through the roped-off streets of downtown Boston. 100% of donations support cancer research – fueling hope for kids worldwide.
Do you love extreme ironing? Underwater basket weaving? Anything goes! Host a fundraising event. Anything from a neighborhood bake sale, to a corporate golf tournament, to a swanky gala – all to raise funds for Boston Children’s. Whether you’re fundraising to support a cause near and dear to you, or simply donating where funds are needed most, every bit helps us help more kids.
Ahh, comfort food. You know how mom’s lasagna just seems to make everything okay? Home-cooked food goes a long way when you’re far from there. Gather a group to prepare a meal at the Yawkey Family Inn, a home-away-from-home for families traveling great distances for care at Boston Children’s.
Do you have lots of free time on your hands? If you are able to make a one year commitment, you can volunteer at Boston Children’s Hospital to hang out with inspiring patients, help families navigate the hospital, and so much more. Head to the site in July to apply for limited openings in the fall.
