Pi(e) Day in The Fenway

Today is Pi Day.

In other words, it’s basically the annual celebration of math. All because the first three digits of Pi are 3, 1 and 4. We’re not kidding, this is a real thing.

And you might think celebrating Pi Day is silly. But we’d counter that argument with a list of National Days that are by far sillier: National answer your cat’s question day (1.22). National rubber eraser day (4.15). National dictionary day (10.16).

At least Pi Day is celebrated with actual Pie. And any excuse to eat food is a good one, in our book. That’s why we’ve got a list of all the places you can get pie in The Fenway.

EVENTIDE OYSTER CO FENWAY

Yes, they’re known for their oysters (and their hot-buttered lobster rolls). But they’re making waves with dessert, too. Today in particular is a good opportunity to head in and try their Oatmeal Cream or Whoopie Pies. After a round of seafood, of course.

TARGET

For this one, you’ll have to put on your pastry chef’s hat. You can get all the ingredients of a pie (as well as basically everything else on the planet) at Target. So, why not just bake your own? You won’t be limited by a menu. Just your own baking skills.

SWEET CHEEKS Q

Because the geniuses at Sweet Cheeks know that the best (and, possibly, only) way to wash down a heaping plate of BBQ is with a pie. Chocolate malt, key lime and beyond! And their pies are mini, if that makes you feel healthier.

TASTY BURGER

Tasty Burger is also a proponent of the mini pie. Because, obviously, no one wants to share something so delicious. They stick to traditional flavors, so you can expect apple, blueberry or chocolate éclair post-burger.

REGINA PIZZERIA

Is Pi Day limited to dessert? We think not. Pizza pie is a kind of pie, guys. A cheesy, saucy, hot, delicious kind of pie. And that means it’s fair game on the day that celebrates all pie.
