September in The Fenway
Let’s face it, September has a pretty bad rep. To many, it marks the end of Summer. It means goodbye to swimming pools and beaches, ice cream cones and picnics. Students head back to school and jackets come out of storage. As far as months go, it’s no one’s favorite.
The Fenway has no down time and this month our neighborhood will be as dynamic as ever. We’ve got a roster of events, from concerts to food festivals, that will make September your new favorite month of the year.
Kickoff with Culture – Museum of Fine Art
Music, food, fine art? Check, check, check! MFA First Fridays are a monthly staple, and a great way to start off September.

Cheer on marathon runners as they cross home plate – Fenway Park
When you hear ‘Boston’ and ‘Marathon’ in the same breath, you think April. For the first time ever, we are talking about a marathon in Boston that takes place in September. Watch 50 participants run a full marathon – or 116 laps around the warning track – in Fenway Park.
Crash the biggest back to school party in Boston – Fenway Park
It’s no surprise that the most college-centric city in the country would also throw the best back to school bash. Join 10,000 other college students for one last hurrah!
Eat your way through Fenway favorites – Van Ness Street
